The “Free Haiti” campaign is a movement to bring awareness to the critical socio-economic and political issues in Haiti caused by gang violence and unstable governance. Bacheler decided to use this campaign by mixing fashion and powerful words to evoke a sense of urgency, calling on every Haitian—both in the diaspora and back home—to take a stand. With each T-shirt sold, Part of the proceeds will go to a children’s hospital and a Youth Leadership Group in Haiti, supporting those most affected by the crisis. It starts with us—together, we can work toward a future where Haiti is free from this turmoil.
